Learning objectives

What the syllabus expects you to be able to do.

  1. P3.1.1Carry out titrations (acid-alkali, manganate(VII), thiosulfate-iodine) to concordant titres, and rates, gravimetric, thermometric and gas-volume experiments.
  2. P3.1.2Record raw data to the precision of the apparatus in a single well-headed table and process it to the correct significant figures.
  3. P3.1.3Plot graphs to the stated conventions, find gradients and intercepts, and draw conclusions.
  4. P3.1.4Identify systematic and random errors, calculate percentage uncertainty and suggest improvements.
